AERTEC is a highly specialised company in aeronautical technologies for defence with a solid track record in the design, development and implementation of technological capabilities in the field of Unmanned Aeronautical Systems (UAS) and Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems.

In recent years, the use of guided munitions launched from unmanned platforms to guarantee a substantial improvement in precision and reduction of collateral damage has become particularly relevant. AERTEC's Aerospace & Defence Systems area, as part of its technological strategy, has developed an integrated armed RPAS solution called TARSIS-W equipped with guided micromissiles based on semi-active lasers (SAL) to guarantee high-precision guidance and navigation.

AERTEC's A&D Systems department has been working for several years on the development of products adapted to the needs of the Armed Forces for Defence and Security operations, deploying highly advanced technology in the fields of UAS, laser solutions and guided munitions. In the field of guided munitions, the technology developed by AERTEC integrates designs based on miniaturised on-board electronics, the use of state-of-the-art sensors and components (optical, inertial, FPGAs, etc.), as well as the analysis and design of rocket engines for the propulsion subsystem suppor* ted by a rapid prototyping strategy to optimise time-to-market.

TARSIS-W is a UAS system with the capability to integrate a missile launcher in each wing to transport and launch 4 laser-guided A-FOX micromissiles of 50 mm caliber and estimated range of 4 km. TARSIS-W includes a Storage Management System integrated with the ground control station (GCS) that permits a launching of the missiles against the identified targets remote and securely.
